A letter (II)

I just don't want to miss you tonight

--The Goo Goo Dolls, Iris

My dearest:

I've taken my time before writing to you because of the reasons you surely assume: I've been busy busy. Although the pieces of this puzzle I started building for us two years ago are slowly starting to fall into place, the end is nowhere near. For starters, you haven't had the kindness of appearing before yours truly. Of course, I no longer consider that to be rude of you, since by writing this letter I'm keeping you from existing on this side of the looking glass.

So, coming back to subject, I got a couple graveyard shifts. It's no big deal, really, but all the guys wonder why anyone but the poorest man in the most dire of needs would work all-nighters just for money. Of course, it's not just about money, it's about easy money. And, you know me, I hate team work, and graveyards get me a chance to work on my own.

What else could I tell you? I want to hit the road ASAP, and the constant thought of coming back and roam the roads again and the possibility of finding you have kept me going. That and all the books and dope I want to share with you. Kiddin'bout the books... lol! Anyway, what else is to say? Oh, yeah, while at work I've run into the most idiotic, moronic, annoying SOB ever. Really, I never expected such an annoying guy to exist. He makes a hard work a barely standable chore. You know, the kind of man who wants nothing besides watching the world burn. Or see me fail, whatever. Fortunately, I relearnt to be persistent.

For now, I've got to go to sleep. But let me assure you that I think of you every day, wondering what you'll look like, how your voice will sound, what language you'll talk. As long as you speak english or spanish, we'll be fine, I guess. Know that I keep a big hug for you and that, even if you don't exist, the very thought of you keeps me going day after day.

Read you soon!

  1. Estoy segura que ella ha de hablar inglés, yo apenas entendí una cuarta parte de todo lo dicho.
